How to Get a Lot of Friends in Facebook

A Facebook account is no good without friends to connect with. While you don't need thousands of friends, the truth is, Facebook is more enjoyable and more useful when you have good friends there. Among some of the reasons you'd want more friends are:
More fiends means greater interactionMore friends means more funMore friends means better chances of finding people you look forIf you want to make new friends in real life, you can start with your friends listFor Pages, more friends or followers and greater popularityFor some people, more Facebook friends makes them feel better about themselves

Engage in conversations

What's the use of a friend who never interacts with you on Facebook? Be more active on the site. Post comments on other people's statuses, photos and whatever they share. And say more than just "Nice" or "Cool." Start a conversation. Your friends' friends will usually be able to see your comments, thus opening the way for making new acquaintances.

Search for people

Take advantage of the Facebook friend finder and search tool to look for people you know who may be on the site. You can tell Facebook to import your address book from a Web-based mail or an email client. Facebook will search those lists for you. You can send a friend request to those who already are on Facebook, and if not, you can send them invitations instead.

Send friend requests

Don't be shy about making friend requests. Decide if you really want to be friends with someone, and send the request. The worst that could happen is nothing. And don't take it personally if they don't add you. Some people are choosy about who they friend at the site, and you should be too.

Improve the quality of your page

If you have a Facebook fan page, make it better. And if you don't have one yet, why not make one? A fan page is yet another way to interact with people who share an interest in what you do. Make a page for your website or business, for example. You can meet many new friends that way.

Create an interesting profile

Your profile is the first thing people see about you on Facebook (unless it's through some comment you posted). Make your profile interesting to new viewers. Share a few things with the public(that is, either "everyone" or "friends of friends) so even non-friends can see. Based on your profile, they will learn some things about you and may want to become friends.

Join groups, networks or events

These are great for meeting people with similar interests as yours. Friendships are easier to start when you know you share a passion together. Think of your favorite hobbies and activities and find a group or network to join.

Don't forget that with friends, it's quality that counts and not quantity. Go out and make friends. But choose only those you really want to connect with. If you think of friendships as just statistics, you're going about it wrong. If you get a Facebook account, make it about real connections. Ideally, your Facebook friend should be buddies in real life too. Learn more social networking tips at Blog Lady.

Internet Marketing - Get Started

If you have never thought about Internet Marketing before, it can seem very strange and difficult. The truth is that if you can offer a good quality product and are prepared to learn you have as much a chance as anyone at success. It is of first importance to realise that you will need to remain focused and that there is some hard work ahead. First you need to master the fundamentals of Marketing on the Internet. Here are a few tips that will help you get started.

1. Create a good website. Your personal preference may be websites that have a lot of graphics, but the best professional websites look clean and simple. Make your site easy for people to use, which means that it should have an adequate search and navigation capability as well as prominent buttons. If you don't have a good site to start with, it is going to be an uphill battle. Your site is your offline shop. Who wants to buy from a shop where it's hard to find what they're looking for?

2. Tell people your story. Everyone loves a good story. That's why books and movies sell so well. That's why Olympic athletes have little vignettes written about them. People love to know where others come from. Make sure you have a great "about us" section on your website. Even more than that, try hard to create a consistent brand that expresses who you are and what you want people to know about you and your product. If you can do this you are more likely to succeed.

3. Start a blog. A blog is a very simple thing and you can actually start one today. Just create a post that talks about how you like to help people. Do not go straight into a sales pitch. First you need to establish a presence. Join and participate in forums related to your niche so that you learn what questions people are asking and what sort of product they are looking for. Address your posts to them and their problems and then outline how you and your product can help them solve their problem. A blog helps you interact with people and it can also help you become seen as an expert in your field. That will translate into more site visits and more customers. Just be sure to update your blog regularly or people will think it is "dead" and stop visiting.

4. How are your finances? Does your budget allow you to consider hiring professional help? Think carefully about this because, unless you have the skills, it may pay you to have your website designed for you. Even after learning from this article, you may still be reluctant to get involved in internet marketing. One solution may be to take a look at membership sites that offer training and ongoing advice. Some offer a free or low cost trial period so you have the chance to evaluate them before any commitment. The advantage of this is that you can resign your membership at any time so it may make sense to do so as soon as you feel confident enough to go forward on your own. Forums are good places to look for such services as many participants will probably have faced the same problems you have now.

5. Be patient. It can be hard to realize that even though the Internet seems to move very fast, marketing efforts take some time to be effective. Stay focussed, remain committed and keep working. This is not an overnight project and the learning curve is steep. This is like any other business in that it is simply not realistic to imagine that success will come without serious effort. Once you have mastered the basic skills you will be well on the way to achieving your goals.

Now that you have taken the time to read the article, you should have a few ideas about the actions you need to take to really get your Internet Marketing plans under way. Take it step by step and stick with it, and you will soon begin to see your marketing efforts pay off.

SaaS - Sofware as a Service - Why is Important?

SaaS stands for software as a service, a fascinating and affordable means of accessing the most innovative business technologies of today. Instead of making the investment involved in owning the technology and engaging in a more labor intensive installation process, clients are able to subscribe to it as a service, paying a fee at regular intervals. It is a growing means of software access and delivery because it is a convenient and affordable option.

Small Business Solution
Small businesses, naturally, are working with smaller budgets, especially in their human resources departments. Indeed, this may be overstating the human resources manpower investment the typical small business is able to make. The ability to access such targeted human resources technologies as an applicant tracking system and recruitment tracking software easily and affordably through software as a service plan can make a small human resources team function like it was a full-fledged human resources department, while saving the expense of funding a dedicated department. With less up-front money than buying, SaaS is the right solution for many businesses.
Another element of using SaaS is that sometimes a small business just needs a particular system or software on a temporary or occasional basis. When working within the confines of a limited budget, sometimes it just doesn't make sense to spend more to own something that is used just a few times a year or is only needed during a specific, temporary phase of operation. It is also a great way to try out new technologies to see if they are suitable to the needs of a particular business. Demonstrations are one thing, but actually using a system for day-to-day operations for a while is where the real information about practicality of use comes from.

Less Hassle
There is often far less labor involved, typically, in utilizing software as a service than there is in buying and installing systems and software. If there is a problem with a SaaS service, tech support is on hand. Many business owners are not techies, and appreciate not having to deal with the inner workings of computer systems and programs. Having somebody on-call, but not on their payroll, is an attractive option. There is something to be said for the simplicity of service as needed, and that is one of the main reasons this is a growing business model. When using software as a service subscription, there's little wait time, and the software is quickly usable after minor, easy installation, unlike the major installation required by other options.
SaaS is an option that is gaining in popularity due to its affordability and convenience. Large and small businesses alike are recognizing the benefits of choosing to subscribe to a SaaS offering an assortment of the technologies used by their businesses, such as recruitment tracking software to compliment an in-house applicant tracking system. It's a great way to discover and utilize the most suitable business technologies, quickly and affordably, whether as a precursor to buying or as a long-term targeted business solution.

Useful Tips for a Successful Online Marketing

Personalized Email Communication:

Creating a steady flow of email communication for customers is not a new concept. However, how many email campaigns do you send out that are segmented based on purchasing habits or preferences? Say that you have studied the data relating to your current customers and have identified approximately 5 profiles or personas. Based on customer information find the persona that best fits each customer. Then create an email drip campaign for each customer segment with different content based on need. Keep in mind that the subject line, internal content, and calls to action within the email should be personalized based on customer segment.

Create A Stellar FAQ Page

Creating readily available and easy to find information is Customer Service 101. It does not matter if you are B2B, B2C, technology, retail, or any other type of company; your customers will have questions. A Frequently Asked Questions page on your website, social profiles, or other web destinations should be updated on a regular basis to include new questions or comments. FAQ’s are also an additional opportunity to optimize content for improved visibility online. It is important to remain consistent with your answers, provide a clean and easy to read page, and update or remove items that may no longer apply. If you sell multiple products you may want to consider creating additional pages for each product. Also, if you sell a product or service that requires assembly or setup you may want to provide instructional videos for your customers.

Social Networking Channels = Customer Service Opportunity:

Last week we shared the example of JetBlue’s customer focused approach on Twitter. While Twitter may not be a customer solution for all marketers there is an opportunity to utilize your existing social media channels as a way of providing additional customer service for your customers. Customer service does not only include answering questions or dealing with problems it could also include: sharing useful articles or information, notifying customers of upcoming promotions, or reaching out to customers that are inactive. Consideration must also be paid to the time of day that your customers are most likely to spend their time online. There are tools available like Timely, Buffer or Hootsuite which enable you to schedule your Twitter communications during a particular time of day for the highest impact.

Create Content Based on Customer Need

If planned for and organized appropriately, content creation can be executed efficiently and successfully. A successful content strategy will focus on the needs, pain points, and triggers of your customers. There are many ways to identify what those needs are including: customer surveys, research, and creation of customer personas based on buying habits. Implementing a well thought out and concise customer survey can give you additional insight into what makes your customers tick. A survey is also a great opportunity to crowdsource content from your customers for your customers. Who better qualified to tell you what they want to read about than those who are purchasing your products or services?

Turn Customers Into Brand Advocates:

It is extremely important that you tap into your existing customer base to find individuals or organizations who are willing to advocate on your behalf. You could ask customers for: written or video testimonials, permission to use them as references, or employ them as a brand advocate to share information with their networks. As user generated content becomes increasingly popular and credible, keeping your customers happy will continue to become even more essential.

In fact, approximately 50% of people who watch an online video will take action... whether it is to download a free report, click on your website link, subscribe to your newsletter, or whatever you want them to do.

Because of this, video marketing will help increase traffic to your website so you should get amazing results by combining the both them together.

If you don't have a website, do not worry... you can still utilize the power of online videos on increase business. But get this... Did you also know that approximately 12% of people who visit a website with videos will end up buying from that site?

This conversion rate is amazing compared to non-video website conversions!

So, why is video so powerful?

The answer is simply that online videos are quickly becoming the preferred method for taking in information online.
People would rather spend 1-3 minutes watching a video than taking 10-20 minutes reading text.

Not only that, but using video allows you to communicate the important points you want to get over to your target audience in very little time.

Another note about video is that not only can you place them on your website for your visitors to see, but you can also distribute them all over the Internet for maximum exposure!

Websites such as YouTube, Vimeo, and many others make it extremely easy for you to host and distribute your online videos.

Not only that, but your videos can be optimized to rank high in the search engines - giving your business immediate exposure to potential customers.

Imagine someone in your local area doing a Google search for your type of product or service... and then your video pops up.

Do you think they'll click on it? Yes!

Videos get much more attention than most forms of online media, which explains why it's a "must-have" if you really want to connect with your existing and potential customers.

Not only that, but videos easily "go viral," meaning they are shared by other viewers.

Studies show that approximately 90% of consumers who like an online video always share it with their friends.

Imagine how much extra exposure that will bring to your business - with no additional efforts on your part!

Online videos also make it easy to cross-sell your product or service. You are allowed to place a link and/or strong call to action at the end of your video, so you can sell even more.
There are several different styles of video that can be used and in order to really capitalize on them, you should try different versions.

Here's a short list to get your creative juices flowing:
Create a "Welcome" Message for Your Website - this will allow you to introduce yourself and your products/services to your website visitors. You can even do a tour of your business facilities to give your audience an "insider view" of your business. They will warm-up to you and start to feel like they already know you.
Create "How-To" Educational Videos - this will allow you to bond with your target audience by giving them valuable information that they can use.
Create "Interview-Style" Videos - this will allow your visitors to learn even more about you and your business. Use the interview to answer some of the questions that your potential market would have when it comes to your industry. You can have your staff interview you or you can interview your staff- whatever makes sense for your business.
Create "Commercial" Videos - this will allow you to sell your product or service online 24/7 on complete auto-pilot. Similar to TV commercials, online video commercials can be used to quickly promote your product or service.
Ask Your Satisfied Customers to Create Video Testimonials - this will allow you to easily provide "social proof" using the power of video. Showing live video coverage of one of your happy customers will boost your conversion rates.

Take Care of Your Laptop: Avoid Repairs

When a laptop is not properly taken care of, there are several things that can go wrong, leading you to need laptop repairs. By keeping a few tips in mind, you can properly take care of your new laptop. With proper care, you will not have to worry about losing all of your important documents or pictures. If you are going off to school, then you no doubt bought your laptop with the intentions that it would last you for all four years of school. Since most schools require you to have a laptop nowadays, keeping yours in top condition is important. If something does happen to your laptop, however, there are laptop repair options available. There are services that offer laptop repairs and screen repairs, as well, and many of these options are affordable.

If your laptop breaks down and you take it to where you bought it, chances are that they are going to try to talk you into purchasing a new one. On the other hand, if you take it to someone that knows how to repair laptops, this can save you a lot of hard earned money. There are, however, problems with laptops that are not easily fixed. Your first order of business is to protect your laptop as much as possible from actions that could cause it harm. For instance, keeping it in a laptop case is a very good idea when your computer is not in use. If the laptop gets dropped or something were to be dropped on it, then it is at least a bit more protected, especially if you have purchased a hard case for your laptop.

Many people nowadays purchase screen protectors for their cellphones, and these are even available for laptops. These are handy if you do not want to have to carry your laptop in a case all the time. This will at least protect your screen from damage. Also, if you are not using the computer, be sure to close the lid to avoid damage in that respect, as well.

It may not always be comfortable to sit behind a desk to write a paper or to take notes on your laptop, so many college students sit on their beds to do homework. While this may be more comfortable, it is very bad for your laptop as it needs air to breathe. If you prefer sitting on your bed to do your work, there are fans that you can purchase that will help keep your computer running cool so as not to overheat it. These fans are not bulky and they are powered by the power within your laptop.

It is always good to keep food and drinks away from your computer when you can. If you have access, it is also a good idea to install virus protection software, as well. If you normally use your laptop to watch videos or movies, chances are that you also eat around your laptop which can be devastating if something spills. Take the precaution to take care of your computer as best you can and it will last you for many years of great service. When you are ready for a new computer, you can take your old one to a place that will recycle laptops.

Take care of your laptop to avoid laptop repairs. When you are finished with your laptop, take it to a place that will recycle laptops.

What Is Data Mining

Data mining is an integral part of data analysis which contains a series of activities that goes from the 'meaning' of the ideas, to the 'analysis' of the data and up to the 'interpretation' and 'evaluation' of the outcome. The different stages of the technique are as follows:

Objectives for Analysis: It is sometimes very difficult to statistically define the phenomenon we wish to analyze. In fact, the business objectives are often clear, but the same can be difficult to formalize. A clear understanding of the crisis and the goals is very important setup the analysis correctly. This is undoubtedly, one of the most complex parts of the process, since it establishes the techniques to be engaged and as such, the objectives must be crystal clear and there should not be any doubt or ambiguity.

Collection, grouping and pre-processing of the data: Once the objectives of the analysis are set and defined, we need to gather or choose the data needed for the study. At first, it is essential to recognize the data sources. Usually data are collected from the internal sources as the same are economical and more dependable and moreover these data also has the benefit of being the outcome of the experiences and procedures of the business itself.

Investigative analysis of the data and their conversion: This stage includes a preliminary examination of the information available. It involves a preliminary assessment of the significance of the gathered data. An exploratory and / or investigative analysis can highlight the irregular data. An exploratory analysis is important because it lets the analyst choose the most suitable statistical method for the subsequent stage of the analysis.

Choosing statistical methods: There are multiple statistical methods that can be put into use for the purpose of analysis, so it is very essential to categorize the existing methods. The choice statistical method is case specific and depends on the problem and also upon the type of information available.

Data analysis on the basis of chosen methods: Once the statistical method is chosen, the same must be translated into proper algorithms for working out the results. Ranges of specialized and non-specialized software are widely available for data mining and as such it is not always required to develop ad hoc computation algorithms for the most 'standard' purpose. However, it is essential that the people managing the data mining method well aware and have a good knowledge and understanding of the various methods of data analysis and also the different software solutions available for the same, so that they may adapt the same in times of need of the company and can flawlessly interpret the results.

Assessment and contrast of the techniques used and selection of the final model for analysis: It is of utmost necessity to choose the best 'model' from the variety of statistical methods accessible. The selection of the model should be based in contrast with the results obtained. When assessing the performance of a specific statistical method and / or type, all other dependent and / or relevant criterions should also be considered. The other criterions may be the constraints on the company both in terms of time and resources or it may be in terms of quality and the accessibility of data.

Elucidation of the selected statistical model and its employment in the decision making process: The scope of data mining is not limited to data analysis rather it is also includes the integration of the results so as to facilitate the decision making process of the company. Business awareness, the pulling out of rules and their use in the decision process allows us to proceed from the diagnostic phase to the phase of decision making. Once the model is finalized and tested with an information set, the categorization rule can be generalized. But the inclusion of the data mining process in the business should not be done in haste; rather the same should always be done slowly, setting out sensible and logical aims. The final aim of data mining is to be an integral supporting part of the company's decision making process.

Mass Mailing - Personalized eMails in One Go

Email is one aspect of the Internet that is used most frequently. E-mail is one of the most important things about the Internet we come across whenever we go online, so it is important to know about the useful aspects of this great feature. Mass mailing or the facility of sending personalized e-mails to more than one person at one go is one of the greatest benefits offered by the Microsoft Office e-mail tool, Outlook.

This article will help you with simple steps that you can perform mass mailing. This process can also be termed as 'Mail Merge from Outlook'. Mass mailing is performed with the coordination of both MS World and Outlook.

Below mentioned are the steps that enable you to send mass e-mails and give them a customized look:

• You need to open Outlook and go Contacts to choose recipients whom you want to send the e-mail. You can select them by Ctrl + clicking the names on the contact list. To enable convenient selection of names you can opt for:

View - Arrange by - Categories.

Note: Remember that Mail Merge is not applicable with Distribution lists.

• Now follow this path after going to the menu bar

Tools - Mail Merge.

It will open up the Mail Merge Contacts dialog box.

• Among categories coming under Contacts, choose 'Only selected contacts'.

• At the bottom of the Contacts dialog box select e-mail from the drop down coming under 'Merge to'.

Now a message subject line field will appear. Fill in the field with a common subject followed by OK.

After you click OK, MS Word is launched with a new document in which the Mailing tab is highlighted. You can use this document or use any other similar template that you prefer.

• Since you have already selected the recipients within Microsoft Outlook, you only need to use the Write and Insert Fields panel for inserting the custom fields.

• Consider choosing a Greeting Line if this what you want to convey. Now configure the greeting in the way you want it to be in the e-mails.

• You can insert a home address or phone number or other specifics by clicking on Insert Merge Field appearing in parallel with a Greeting Line that will lead to a long drop down list.

• Now write the body of the e-mail in the Word document. Once you finished with the writing and inserting the preferred fields, you can preview the final look of the e-mails by clicking on Preview Results.

• Now take a look at your recipients by clicking on the previous and next buttons appearing in the Preview Results panel.

• Now click 'Finish and Merge' and then again click on Send E-mail messages. It will take you to the 'Merge to E-mail' dialog box where you need to click OK.

In this way you can send multiple e-mails with a similar subject line to various recipients simultaneously. Initially, it appears complex and difficult to perform but once you get through the steps mentioned above you can do it conveniently to make mass mailing as one of the easiest things you do.

If you still face problems in performing these steps and you are not able to obtain the end results then consulting an experienced computer support service provider is the best way to handle the issue. Their service available in 24x7 x 365 gives you liberty to call them when it is most convenient.

Why Hire a SEO Company

There are several ways to promote your website. You can always get instant traffic by using pay-per-click advertising or email marketing, but they could be extremely expensive, especially for certain competitive niches. Getting traffic through organic search results in the major search engines is by far the most preferred method of traffic generation. Apart from being more effective, it is also one of the least expensive ways to get targeted traffic to your website.

For your website to get listed in the first page of Google and other major search engines, it needs to be well-optimized for visibility. Known as Search Engine Optimization or SEO, it is one of the important strategies to make your site rank well in search engines. SEO is implemented in two phases, known as on-page optimization and off-page optimization. Both these phases require technical skills and expert awareness of changes in search engine methodologies. A SEO company would be the most appropriate service to help you implement these technologies on your website.

On-page Optimization

On-page Optimization involves making changes to certain elements in your website's HTML code and content. Since these changes are implemented on the pages of the website, it is referred to as on-page Optimization. The process begins with keyword research to find out the main keywords or phrases that your website needs to be optimized for. Based on these keywords, the SEO company would then optimize the Title tags, images, URLs, and content of your website or blog to make the pages rank high for these search phrases. The On-page process is a fairly straightforward and quick process and an SEO company should be able to complete the process within a couple of days.

Off-page Optimization

Off-page Optimization involves changes made to other sites in order to acquire backlinks to your website. Google and other search engines value the quality and quantity of backlinks to your site from other websites around the world. A SEO company would be able to generate a huge number of quality backlinks to your website from several Web 2.0 properties using advanced link building strategies. Most of the links would be generated by article marketing, forum posting, blog commenting, video and press release distribution and a variety of innovative methods.

Off-page Optimization is a more involved and time-consuming process. Since search engines would not favor a site that has too many backlinks generated over a very short time span, a SEO company would often generate backlinks over a longer period of time. It is not uncommon for some services to extend the off-page optimization process to over six months for better results.

Using both on-page as well as off-page optimization techniques, a SEO company would be able to make your website rank well in the organic search results of the major search engines.

All interactions with the customer should always be stored in the system even when you are trying to get hold of the customer but failed to do so.

Most users of the CRM Software are the sales people. Since they are usually very busy working with selling the products or services it is important that the CRM Software is intuitive and easy to use. It is also important to be able to easy follow up the interactions with flexible and good reports.

Some CRM Software also combine the sales software functionality but it is important to separate the two processes and understand that CRM and sales are different areas.
