System optimization once was a term used in system science (system theory) and now is used (and often used) as a terminology related to computers. Our computer needs system optimization after the long time working. There is no doubt to find that computers run more and more slowly due to the accumulated junk files which cannot be cleaned timely. We will find lots of optimization skills spread in the network. Some of these can really optimize the system and improve its performance. So today let's share some easy optimization skills which are mainly based on the set of computer properties.
1 Disable unused IDE channels
Right click on the "my computer" and choose "properties"- "hardware"-"Device Manager". Click the "IDE ATA/PATA controller" and then enter the primary and secondary IDE channel. Select "Advanced settings". Set "device type "to "none" and "transfer mode" to " DMA (if available)".
2 Optimizing the Visual effects
Right click "My Computer" and choose "Properties "-"Advanced". Click the "Settings" button of "performance" column and then we come to set the "Visual Effects". We can click the third option "Adjust for best performance"; and tick following options:smooth edges of screen fonts, using visual styles on the Windows and buttons, using common task in folders and using shadows for icon labels on the desktop.
3 Optimizing performance
Right-click "my computer"--"Properties"-"Advanced" and click "Settings" in the "performance" column just like above, then choose" advanced ". Select "programs " for both the "processor plan" and" memory usage ".
4 Turn off system restore function
Right-click " my computer "--"Properties"-"system restore", tick " turn off System Restore on all drives " and click the "OK" button. Then double-click "My Computer" and choose "Tools" - "Folder Options" - "View". Remove the hook before the "Hide protected operating system files" and click "Show all files and folders". This will help you to find the SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION Folder in all the disks and delete it.
5 Turn off automatic updates
Right-click "My Computer" - "Properties" - "Automatic Updates". Select "Turn off Automatic Updates" or "Notify me when available to download". Both are ok.
System optimization will minimize the programs for computer to process, change the operating mode, delete the unnecessary interruption to make the machine run more efficiently, optimize the file location to read and write data faster and free more system resources for users to dispose. With such function we can keep our computer in a good state and enjoy the fast operating speed.
